ResponderEliminarYou know what surprised me most of the two projects?
When Carmen and Maria spoke about "Queen" incorporating elements of glam rock, progressive rock, folk, blues and pop. I thought that they had only experienced with heavy metal and rock. I enjoyed the rest of the project of "Queen" and their songs (I love them!).

I´ve enjoyed a lot doing this proyect. I knew the rock band Queen, but I´ve learnt some amazing things about him. Like he was a very nice songwriter either he claimed the woman´s freedom.

ResponderEliminarI think that the presentation about David Bowie was very interesting, because he is a very important singer.
I was very surprised, because I didn´t know David Bowie was so intelligent with the instruments and music.

My favourite oral presentation was María and Carmen´s project of Queen, because I love this group! I think they were amazing and I used to sing and dance all their songs.
ResponderEliminarI learnt a lot of David Bowie because, before I didn´t know he existed. I also learnt that he was an English actor, director and producer manager. One thing was shocking for me: that he said he was homosexual and suddenly, he rectified it. It was incredible!
I also liked the Beatles´s song "Drive my car" because I think the chorus was so catchy and I liked it very much. I was singing this song all day long!
Finally, my favourite song was" I want to break free" because it´s very lively.
I have liked this work very much. The song We are the champions it has impressed me very much because Queen was in clothes interor.

ResponderEliminarThis presentation has been very good; I have learned many things about this singer, drummer and pianist composer. I didn’t know why the singer had retired from music, (because a neck injury) and I was surprised. I learned some words that I didn´t know before. For example: either...or—Uno u otro. Also I loved the song that they chose. It's quite beautiful. It was also an impact, the three wives that he has had.
London
I loved the presentation of London. It reminded me of the study trip we did. I remembered really good moments. The trip to London helped me a lot. I learned to live together, learned about a new culture (English), I visited many cities. It was fantastic, an unforgettable experience. However, for me it was a bit short.
I have learned a lot about the life of the groups or singers , though I knew the groups and I had listened to their music before and I liked it. The thing that surprised me and I really liked it,was the video of the group Queen (I want to break Free), because I knew this song but I hadn't, seen the video, and for me it was the song that I liked the most.

ResponderEliminarThis presentation has been very good; I’ve learned a lot of about this city. I also learned some words that I didn´t know before. This presentation reminded me of this summer very much. This summer I went to Dublin, I visited many places in this city, but I didn´t see many of the monuments of the presentation. I loved the pubs of Dublin, Temple Bar in particular. In the pubs you can eat well and listen to live music. I liked Dublin very much. There are many shops to visit and sights as well. However it is not a very pretty city for my taste. What I really like of Dublin and Ireland in general, are the people. They are very friendly and confident sometimes. Although I didn't like that whenever I said something people used to repeat the same thing and used to correct my pronunciation. In conclusion, Dublin city is very interesting and the presentation of Mary and Alice has been very good.
I liked the project of Queen because it made me learnt some important things that I didn't know for exaple, how important they wew for the history of music.

I also liked it because I knew some songs, but I didn't knew that those songs were by them. I knew Freddy Mercury too, but now I know more things about him and his life.
Coments about the presentations of ''Queen'' , London and David Bowie.
ResponderEliminar-David Bowie: My classmates told) us that David Bowie was an English musician, actor, producer, etc. And he collaborated with the Band Queen
and they did the song '' under pressure'', we were ''singing'' that song and completed the white spaces on the song too. My classmates also told us that David confessed he was gay, but he later confessed also that he was bisexual.
-Queen: My classmates told me and my class that it was a British Rock Band, they were really famous. There were 4 persons in the group, one of them, Freddie Mercury died in 1991. One of their hits was ''We are the Champions''.
- London: My experience. My experience in Britain was amazing, I'll never forget it, becouse I learnt a lot there; customs, food, the people... It was an amazing experience. I love the country, we were in different cities as Cambridge, Stamford, Peterborough and of course
London. I can say that It's an enormous and beautiful city, I really loved the city, becouse the buildings are gorgeous, and that can make you love the city.When I saw the first images of London as St. Paul's CAthedral, or any monuments that I saw I thought that I would love to live there. Maybe one day I'll live there.
Sting
ResponderEliminarThis presentation has been very good; I’ve learned a lot about this city. I also learned some words that I didn´t know before. For example lead. The thing that surprised me was that he has six children. It also surprised me that probably he is bipolar, because in one of his songs, he said that he takes pills. I've learnt some amazing things about him. Like he won sixteen Grammys. I´ve learnt a lot because before, I didn´t know anything about him. I loved the song that they chose; it was the song that I liked the most. It´s very emotional and its content is very nice.
The Police
It has also been pretty good. I think it has missed to give out the song printed to fill in the blanks. I learned a lot, before, I didn´t know anything about this group. I also didn´t know what punk is; Punk is a style of music. I knew the song they chose and I really like it. I think that the presentation about The Police was very interesting, because they were a very important group.
Last week we had two project presentations about London, by Pablo and Rocio; and about Phil Collins, by Marcos and Manu.
ResponderEliminarI've learnt that Phil Collins has married and divorced three times, and he has retired from the music because he has a lesion on the neck. I liked this project because we listened to the Tarzan film song: 'You´ll be in my heart'.
I didn't like London's presentation because I don't like History, but I've learnt some interesting things about London's History.
In the last two days we have also had four new presentations about Dublin and U2, by Maria and Alice; about The police, by Paula and Angela; and about Sting, by Elena and Marina.
With these presentations I've learnt a lot of new things, for example I didn't know that Sting was bipolar and wrote a song about the twin towers in New York; or the real U2 member's names; or that The Police wrote two different songs devoted to a prostitute; or that Sting married twice and he has got seven children in total.
With Dublin's presentation I've known a lot of differents places to visit or to have a nice time, but a really interesting thing I've learnt is the real name of Trinity College. It's very long and difficult to learn!

London:
ResponderEliminarLondon was a interesting proyect. I learnt some things about the history of the city. However they didn´t talk about others interesting things. Maybe It could be better if they talk about funny things of the city, like monuments or places to visit.
Dublin:
It was a nice proyect. They were talking about theaters, restaurants,...all of them interesting places. If some day I travel to Dublin I will know where go.
David Bowie:
I heard some of his songs before see the proyect, but I didn´t know his appearance. I think that he was a different man.
Phil Collins:
This proyect was the most surprising for me, because He sang one of my favourite song, "you´ll be in my heart". This song it´s amazing and so affectionate. I loved it since I was a child. Now I like Phil Collins!
The police:
The police was a nice proyect. He made beautiful songs, but I didn´t like very much "every breath you take" I thnik that it´s got a propietary attitude.

I think that I like what we have been discussing in class to remember all the the songs
from the animated series Tarzan because it is a very beautiful song.
U2 and Dublin.
I think that the group U2 is very interesting and the style of the group is rock.
I like any song but not all the songs because I like other song styles.
The Police and Sting.
I´ve enjoyed a lot doing this proyect. I knew the rock band The Police and the songwriter Sting. This presentation has been very good because I like the songs of the group The Police and it´s more interesting.

Mark Knopfler
ResponderEliminarThis presentation was good. I didn´t know anything about this singer. I've learnt a lot. Something that impacted me was that Mark has five sons and two daughters. I already knew the song that they've chosen. But I don´t like it very much. It is a bit boring. I think they have missed to give out the song printed to fill in the blanks. Another reason why I liked it is that it let me know more things about the group, now I know more things about him and his life.
Elton John
With this presentation I’ve learnt a lot of things. I didn´t know a lot of things that Ana and Sara said. For example the real name of Elton John. I also didn´t know that Elton John is so rich. A lot of things impacted me, first he started to play the piano at the age of three, and second he confessed he was bisexual, but later he also cofessed that he was gay. Later he married a boy. The thing that most struck me was when they tried to adopt a child but weren't allowed because they are gays. Finally, the song that they´ve chosen” Crocodile rock” was the best because it´s very lively and beautiful.
